Brow Lift Reviews
"I have been a long time patient of Dr. Corbin. He has done multiple plastic surgery procedures on me through the years and I have been nothing but pleased with the outcome of all of them. On Sept. 6th 2017 I had the 'Big One' as far as plastic surgery procedures go. I had my breast implants exchanged for bigger ones, I had a nose job, and eyebrow lift, an extensive neck lift, and face Tite. It was a rough ride to say the least, but 6 months post op I am so happy that I decided to go through with all of it at one time. The results are amazing and I feel like a renewed woman. Dr. Corbin is the best plastic surgeon in practice. His staff is exceptional, especially Dee, and they go out of their way to do everything in their power to make you feel at ease and comfortable with your decision to have the procedures done. Dr. Corbin has changed my life for the better and I would not hesitate to direct anyone I know to him for anything. Doctors like Dr. Corbin are a rare breed and there is noone else in his field that even compares to him. It has been a great blessing for me to know him and be his patient. I am truly grateful."- Anonymous / ZocDoc / Apr 21, 2018

Am I a Candidate for a Brow Lift?
As you age, skin elasticity decreases and can cause several areas of your face to sag. This is especially true in the upper face region and usually impacts both men and women. When looking in the mirror, do you appear angry or tired, notice frown wrinkles between your eyebrows, or are bothered by your sagging brow? A surgical brow lift at Dr. Corbin Plastic Surgery may be the right aesthetic procedure for you.
Brow Lift Surgical Technique
Prior to surgery, anesthesia is administered to the patient. This procedure can be done with general anesthesia or IV sedation, depending on the nature of the surgery. The incision used in a brow lift is determined by the severity of skin sag, if the forehead is affected, and the appearance of the hairline. Some of the different approaches to consider include:
- Traditional Incision
Also known as the open browplasty incision, this approach makes the incision at the top of the head behind the hairline. The open incision not only hides scarring, but it also provides a certain amount of lift control during the surgery. The open incision often works well for those with both frown lines and a sagging brow. This is typically the best method if you are at risk for a receding hairline.
- Trichophytic Incision
A trichophytic incision is made right against the patient's hairline. A trichophytic incision allows significant lifting of the brow for patients who have a strong hairline with little risk for recession.
- Lateral Brow Lift
Also called a temporal browplasty, the lateral technique places the incision within the hairline just above the temples. The lateral incision permits the outer sections of the brow to be lifted and is best for sagging that's visible in the outer brow. It also helps to correct Crow’s feet.
- Endoscopic Forehead Lift
This is a more modern method employed in a brow lift. It places multiple small incisions in the hairline and inserts a tool known as an endoscope, which is pushed down to the eyebrow to release its attachments. Through the camera of the endoscope, the brow tissue is repositioned with stitches to place the brow in a better position.
Your Forehead Lift Results
The recovery period for brow lift surgery varies, with more swelling and discomfort occurring with the traditional technique versus the temporal or endoscopic techniques. Overall, there will be some swelling and bruising in the upper portion of the face near the brows and sometimes around the eyes. Dr. Corbin recommends patients sleep with pillows propped under their head for 3 – 4 nights following their surgery, along with applying cold compresses to reduce inflammation. It is critical to avoid any movement or activities that place stress on the face. The average recovery period from this procedure is about 2 – 3 weeks. Many patients see results immediately with a noticeable improvement in fine lines and sagging in the upper portion of the face.
Rejuvenate Your Appearance
Don't let your sagging forehead make people wonder if you're mad, sad, angry, or tired — a brow lift can help to enhance your entire appearance so you look naturally refreshed. Dr. Corbin will ensure your forehead lift results are individualized based on your cosmetic goals. Call Dr. Corbin Plastic Surgery in Brea or Beverly Hills, CA to learn more about brow lift surgery.
